Job Located in Carrickmore
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving flatbed and van lorries, and possess a strong understanding of mechanical operations. This role involves transporting heavy goods safely, ensuring loads are tied down safely.
Duties:
- Operate flatbed lorries for the delivery of steel kits and welded assemblies to and from sub-contractors.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
- Load and unload lorry using forklift.
- Communicate effectively with yard men regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Keep vehicle clean and maintained.
- Use the van for smaller deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Class 2 driving licence.
- Driver CPC.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Experience as a Class 2 driver.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours.
