The central role will be to provide a professional on-site hose replacement service to customers. This role will include being part of a 24 hour on call rota with other technicians.
Employees will be expected to promote company products and services to existing and prospective customers throughout their given territory.
Employees will be expected to maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment where possible.
The day to day management of a Mobile Sales & Service Unit (MSSU) includes:
- Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the MSSU
- Performing routine maintenance checks in accordance with the MSSU defect checklists
- Ensuring the MSSU is kept clean and tidy, inside & out
- Managing all company supplied documentation within the MSSU including technical and procedure updates
To provide assistance to colleagues within the franchise when requested.
To attend company training courses as requested.
Good personal presentation and adherence to the Organisations UK policy and procedures.
Skills and competencies
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Good manual dexterity and physical ability
- Good communication skills both orally and written
- The ability to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers, staff and colleagues
- The ability to work unsupervised and to time constraints
- Successful completion of the induction and training programmes and subsequent on site assessments as requested
- The ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and colleagues
Education and Qualifications required
- Full UK driving license
- Company UK induction training (provided)
- Work experience in technical/engineering environment advantageous but not essential
Your normal hours of work are 8am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am-12pm Saturday. This is dependent on the on call rota previously mentioned. You are entitled to a lunch break of one hour each working day to be taken at an appropriate time as to not adversely affect the performance of your duties. The dates of your use of your annual holiday entitlement must be approved beforehand by your line manager.
