Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Director of Operations to join our Crozier Fine Arts team. In this role, you will be responsible for running day-to-day operations across warehouse, transportation, and project delivery, including budget management and aligning operating strategies with business objectives to fuel growth in the fine arts marketplace. You will lead a dedicated UK-based team of over 130 professionals committed to the seamless delivery and protection of cultural and historical artifacts.
What You'll Do
- Lead Operational Strategy: Drive day-to-day operations across the warehouse, transportation, and project delivery functions using data-driven insights to optimize the client experience and maximize return on investment.
- Collaborate and Elevate Teams: Partner closely with Account Management, Sales, and Finance teams to lead and develop a diverse workforce, ensuring high-performance culture and seamless service delivery.
- Ensure Operational Excellence and Compliance: Manage the regional budget with strict financial rigor while ensuring all logistics and communications comply with organizational standards and global regulations.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading supply chain operations for delicate products within a matrix management organization, specifically managing teams of over 130 personnel.
- Strong Transportation experience: Ideally with inner city experience, having revamped an organisation's transportation network.
- Technical and Functional Expertise: Deep knowledge of industry-leading technologies, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Strategic Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage significant Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities and build long-term operational plans that leverage labor and pricing to drive growth.
- Education and Industry Knowledge: An undergraduate degree (preferred) and a solid understanding of logistics for precarious items, ideally with experience serving High Net Worth Individuals.
