Croydon Health Service (CHS) safeguarding team seeks an experienced specialist practitioner with in-depth knowledge of child protection and advanced analytical skills for safeguarding children. The CHS safeguards teamwork across the acute setting (Croydon University Hospital and the community settings). The team promotes a Think Family model across the trust. The post holder will rotate between working as the MASH health professional within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), based within Croydon Local Authority offices, and the safeguarding advisor role will include rotating to cover the hospital setting and the community setting.

Key Duties

  • Supervision including group and one-to-one supervision in the community and at the hospital.
  • Delivering training at Level Three.
  • Covering acute service in the hospital including emergency department.
  • Attending Croydon Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP), Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Conference (MACE), National Referral Mechanism (NRM) and supporting practitioners with mental capacity act for 16 years upwards and delivering 'Think Family Approach' to safeguarding.
  • Rotating in to Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and other settings.
