Responsibilities:
- Assist Cardiac Physiologists in daily clinical work
- Perform ECGs
- Perform ECG ambulatory monitoring, Event and BP monitoring, technician‑led exercise tests
- Assist with adult and paediatric transthoracic echocardiography (including contrast, bubble studies and stress echo)
- Assist with adult transoesophageal echocardiography
- Support specialist Heart Failure, Valve and Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics
- Perform clerical duties and office work
- Help with stock control for the department
- Assist in day‑to‑day departmental operations and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a busy department/ward.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic to learn and develop skills.
About the Department:
The Cardiology Department is based at the Croydon Heart Centre, which includes a Cardiac Catheter Suite and Daycare Unit. It offers a comprehensive range of non‑invasive procedures, including ECGs, ambulatory monitoring (ECG, event and BP), technician‑led exercise tests, adult transoesophageal echocardiography, adult and paediatric transthoracic echocardiography (contrast, bubble studies, stress echo) and specialist Heart Failure, Valve and Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics.
