Maternity Ward Clerk – 37.5 hours a week (Full time). The Integrated Women, Children's & Sexual Health Directorate is looking for an exceptional candidate to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical work. This full‑time role involves a range of responsibilities within the maternity ward and reception area.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an effective and efficient support service to assist in the provision of quality patient care.
  • Perform general clerical, administrative and reception duties supporting the administrative elements of the entire patient pathway.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Use initiative and problem‑solving skills to support the hospital team and improve processes.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and solve problems independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for patient care.
  • Previous experience in a clinical administrative or clerical role is highly desirable.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. The position is based in Croydon University Hospital.
