Overview
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. Around 4,100 staff provide services for a population of over 360,000 people who are relatively young with a high level of ethnic diversity. Our main hospital site, Croydon University Hospital, is one of the busiest in London. Responsibilities

- To ensure that Croydon Health Services Trust\\\’s policies and procedures are adhered to.
- To have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirements of the Health and Safety Regulations and the Trust\\\’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments.
- To work in accordance with the Trust\\\’s policies to eliminate unlawful discrimination and promote equality and diversity in the workplace. To positively promote at all times equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment in accordance with Trust policies, regardless of age, disability, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, gender, religion, belief, sexual orientation or domestic circumstances.
- Responsible for the computerised data entry of all information onto relevant systems on behalf of the Clinical Business Unit (CBU).
- As part of the Emergency Services Team, deliver a high standard of service to those patients attending all the clinical areas within the CBU. To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to enable necessary information to be collated.
- To be responsible for Emergency care notes in accordance with local policies and procedures, the Data Protection Act and to ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Key working relationships: All staff within the multi-disciplinary team and all departments Trust wide as appropriate to the care of patients.
- Role of the Department: Unscheduled and Emergency Care and on occasion Training. To support the emergency team to provide effective, efficient service to patients that meets national targets for delivery. Follow all patient journeys ensuring that they are seen in a timely manner and escalate any deviations.
