Are you currently an ED band 7 looking for a new challenge or a band 6 wanting to take the next step in your career? Do you want to be part of our growing team at an exciting time? We now have vacancies available for motivated, experienced and enthusiastic paediatric nurses to assist in leading our team in our Children's Emergency Department. We are a busy department who currently see about 30,000 children per year in a purpose built paediatric area within the Emergency Department.
We are proud of our purpose built, state of the art Children's Emergency Department which is a dedicated area to see children including two resuscitation bays, a high dependency area, an outside play area, a multi-sensory treatment room and an adolescent area, all finished to a high specification, to provide high quality care to the children of Croydon.
Responsibilities
- You will be supported by a Paediatric Matron and have developmental opportunities including simulation, QI and ACP pathways.
- A band 7 post is now available due to expanding emergency paediatric services.
- You will be responsible for leading a team and supporting the Paediatric matron in providing excellent care to the Croydon community.
- You will have the opportunity to attend a wide range of courses to develop your clinical and leadership skills.
- You will be encouraged to get involved with service improvement projects, redesign, recruitment and department audits.
Qualifications
We are seeking experienced dynamic individuals who can flourish working within a fast paced and demanding environment. You will need sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, leadership and the ability to work well in the multidisciplinary team.
