Responsibilities

  • The post holder will be responsible to the Consultant in the team you work in as well as Mr Radha, Clinical Lead and Mr Mohammed, Clinical Director.
  • Duties include preparing patients for theatre and attending operating sessions, outpatient clinics and pre‑assessment clinics.
  • Attend clinics and operating lists in line with the firm‑based structure and required attendances.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings across specialties.
  • Use the Trust‑wide electronic patient management system and PACS for trauma workload management.
  • Participate in departmental audit and research.

Training & Development

  • Full IT training is delivered.
  • Potential to access a Post‑Graduate Certificate in Education via St. Georges Medical School if desired.
  • Access to Basic Orthopaedic and Trauma Course, Plastering Course (no charge), Basic Surgical Skills Course and ATLS.
  • Supportive network to improve portfolio for those wishing to apply to Core Surgery, with the Trust aiming to help deliver learning and development goals.
