Senior Clinical Fellow – Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Simulation

Join Croydon Health Services NHS Trust as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Simulation. This full‑time permanent post is CT3 equivalent and is supported with a strong department teaching programme, including preparation for the FRCA exam.

Key Responsibilities

• Access to pre‑operative anaesthetic assessment clinics.
• General anaesthesia for elective and emergency surgery (ASA 1‑4).
• Paediatric anaesthesia for children aged five and over, including TIVA experience.
• Regional anaesthesia with ultrasound‑guided regional techniques.
• Obstetric anaesthesia with on‑call experience, including management of ASA 3 parturients.
• Resuscitation and transfer as part of the medical emergency team and involvement in intra‑hospital transfers.
• Pain management, attending pain clinics and acute pain ward rounds.
• Intensive care – three months experience in adult ICU for core‑level trainees.
• Teaching multidisciplinary teams in Croydon’s high‑fidelity simulation centre.
• Providing support for the Simulation Centre and developing delivery of teaching across the trust.
• Attending teaching sessions, departmental quality improvement meetings and producing educational supervision.
