The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

The main duties of the successful candidate will be to perform ECGs, fit ambulatory ECG, Event and BP monitors, and support the Cardiac Physiologists in their daily clinical work, as well as performing some clerical and office duties.

The main Cardiology Department is based in the Croydon Heart Centre at Croydon University Hospital, along with a Cardiac Catheter Suite and Daycare Unit. Cardiology tests are also provided at Purley War Memorial Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre, and a new Community Diagnostic Centre in New Addington is opening in September 2025. The successful candidate will work across all three sites on a rotational basis.

We provide a comprehensive range of non-invasive procedures, including ECGs, Ambulatory monitoring (ECG, Event, and BP), Technician Led Exercise Tests, Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Adult and Paediatric Transthoracic Echocardiography (including contrast, bubble studies, and stress echo). There are also specialist clinics for Heart Failure, Valve, and Rapid Access Chest Pain.

Applications are invited for a highly motivated individual to join the Cardiology team as a Cardiology Assistant Practitioner (Cardiographer), primarily working at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in New Addington, part of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. This role is demanding but rewarding, and previous experience in a Cardiology department is preferred.
