Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for service excellence and technical accuracy? Croydon Council is seeking an Accounts Payable Technical Officer to join our dynamic Payments, Revenues, Benefits and Debt team.
About The Role
- Validate and process supplier invoices and payments (BACS, cheques, CHAPS, foreign drafts).
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Provide guidance and support to Data Input Officers and other departments.
- Conduct quality checks and produce monitoring reports.
- Support the administration of our Premier Supplier Programme.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the purchase-to-pay process and financial controls.
- Advanced skills in Oracle (Accounts Payable module), Excel, and Word.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive, professional approach with a commitment to confidentiality, diversity, and data protection.
