Staying Put is a home improvement agency that helps older, disabled and other vulnerable residents maintain their independence for as long as possible and remain living in their own homes. We do this via offering advice, grants and loans for certain adaptation and repair works, a hospital discharge and reablement service, a handyperson and gardening service and signposting to other relevant council departments and external contacts.
The Staying Put Administrator role will provide administrative support to assist with the day to day running of the service. This will involve being the first point of contact for all enquiries to the service via email, phone calls and post. Also, assisting with general administration of disabled facilities grants, and home investment loans, financial assessments, approvals and payments, and customer service tasks relating to the effective running of the Staying Put Agency including hospital discharge and reablement requests.
We are looking for an individual, who can:
- Provide administrative support across the team.
- Co-ordinate and arrange appropriate action by contractors and other professionals/organisations to achieve required results.
- Organise, plan and prioritise their own workload, including demonstrating good time management skills to ensure prompt and timely response to service need.
- Demonstrate good customer service and maths skills, along with an eye for detail.
- Have excellent planning and organisational skills, and be resilient in juggling competing priorities.
- Communicate effectively and positively – both verbally and in writing to different audiences.
