We are looking to appoint two permanent Finance Managers for the Housing General Fund and Housing Revenue Account (HRA).
Role Overview
As a Finance Manager you will support the Director of Finance (Deputy S151 Officer) and Head of Strategic Finance, deputising when required. Your responsibilities include finance business partner duties, overseeing financial planning, monitoring and coordination of financial arrangements for both revenue and capital finance. You will also lead a team consisting of a Principal Accountant and an Accountant.

- Business partnering for Housing General Fund covering operational services, transformation, joint working, commercial activities and capital investment.
Business Partnering Scope
- Operational services: manage temporary accommodation and homelessness prevention duties, forecast demand and monitor services.
- Transformation: improve service delivery and meet regulatory duties.
- Joint working: partner with housing providers across London on homelessness prevention.
- Commercial activities: achieve value for money through contract management and provision of high-quality accommodation.
- Capital investment: identify opportunities to improve housing supply and adapt existing properties.
Qualifications
- Hold a CCAB/CIMA accountancy qualification or extensive experience in local government finance.
- Demonstrated management of budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, account closing, grants and statistical returns.
- Experience delivering strong financial management advice to managers, ideally in an environment of change.
- Ability to work successfully as part of a professional team.
