Croydon Council’s Live Well service is an integrated health behaviour change 12 week programme that offers residents help and support to maintain a healthy weight, stop smoking and drink less alcohol. Smoking, obesity, physical inactivity and excessive alcohol consumption are responsible for around 30% of the disease burden and are associated with the major causes of morbidity and mortality. These behaviours are influenced by complex interactions between a persons’ social, economic and environmental circumstances.
We are looking for a candidate who has the motivation to support the Live Well Service Manager to co-ordinate the Live Well Service on behalf of Croydon Public Health Team. The post is located within the Adult, S ocial Care and Health Directorate. This is an ideal secondment opportunity.
The aim of the role is to support the Live Well Service Manager deliver and integrate across the Croydon locality the Live Well service.
The postholder will be responsible for providing project management support and with responsibility for day-to-day planning and implementation of the service.
They will support the Live Well Croydon service manager with any programme reports required and outcomes particularly related to the service and support programme delivery across partner organisations.
The post holder will be required to have a thorough understanding of managing projects, and to use their judgement of how to deal with queries as they arise. The post calls for extensive teamwork, initiative, judgement, confidentiality and diplomacy.
