The Extra Care Housing service requires driven and confident individuals to support the delivery of a CQC registered care and support service to tenants residing in the extra care housing scheme. This role will be front facing and will have a key focus on the person-centred delivery of care and support, within the constraints of agreed care plans.
The role will involve front-line hands-on care & support delivery, to include the provision of personal care, medication management, meal and nutrition management, domestic support and social value work, keeping the resident at the centre of all approaches. The role will also demand administration tasks such as logging and documenting, completing reports and access to IT platforms for the purpose of training.
About You
- Good working experience in a CQC registered service
- Good working experience in the delivery of care and support to adults with varying and complex needs
- A good understanding of Safeguarding practices and risk mitigation in terms of adult social care
- Experience of working as a team
- Excellent communication skills to include good writing skills
- Must hold a L2 In Adult Social Care
- Ability to commit to a regular working pattern of shifts which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays

The Selection Process
We are following a Value-based approach to the recruitment of the Independent Living Carer posts within the extra care housing service. This will allow us to identify strengths in applicants through observing values and behaviours. The selection process will be conducted over a half day session, based at one of the extra care locations. Candidates will be taken through several tasks, involving interview questions, and some task-based activities, which will include interaction with the residents.
