We need a committed and knowledgeable Health & Wellbeing Officer to support our social workers in empowering and assisting vulnerable residents of Croydon through signposting, practical community support, or direct advice from the Council. During these challenging times, the Council Leadership emphasizes the importance of our statutory functions, including Adult Social Care. We have a stable team structure, with low vacancy rates and a preference for permanent staff over agency workers. Our team includes a dedicated Training Officer and a Principal Social Worker to support staff welfare and practice, alongside recent upgrades to our electronic recording system. If you are starting your Social Care career or seeking a new role to develop your skills in Adult Social Care, this position offers valuable case work experience, client interaction, community liaison through GP Huddles, and partnership working with health and voluntary sectors. We are enhancing community engagement and building networks within the Locality setting. Having your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license is preferable for this role.
