Job type: Permanent, Full‑time, 36 hours per week

Salary range: Grade 10 – 11 £43,680 – £49,056 per annum, plus company benefits including a Compulsory Car User Allowance.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated investigator with a sound understanding of legal processes. Knowledge of Trading Standards legislation is an advantage. The role is part of a small, busy and driven team whose priorities include protecting and safeguarding vulnerable persons, investigating illicit tobacco cases, preventing under‑age sales of tobacco, managing incidents involving rogue traders, and undertaking essential product safety work. The team also runs projects aligned with local, regional and national priorities.

Key responsibilities include:
