Are you an experienced repairs or property maintenance leader who knows how to run high volume services, manage contractors, and keep residents at the heart of delivery? We’re looking for a Repairs Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of Croydon’s responsive repairs service. This is a senior role with real impact improving service quality, driving performance, and ensuring residents receive a reliable, professional repairs service.
You’ll lead a large operational team, work closely with contractors and internal partners, and take accountability for performance, quality, cost control and customer experience across the repairs service.
About the Role
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the responsive repairs service across the borough
- Manage and develop Repairs Area Managers and senior operational staff
- Oversee contractor performance, quality of work, KPIs and customer satisfaction
- Ensure a strong focus on service quality, inspections and learning from complaints
- Use performance data and customer insight to drive continuous improvement
- Work closely with Tenancy, Customer Services, Building Safety, Finance and Legal teams
- Manage budgets and ensure strong financial control and value for money
- Ensure repairs are delivered safely and in line with Health & Safety and CDM regulations
- Lead the service response to complex repairs and escalations
- Deputise for senior managers when needed

- Can make sound operational and financial decisions under pressure
- Has a collaborative approach and enjoys improving services
