Grade: 5 ,
Contract Type:Full Time, Permanent

About the Role
Active Lives supports adults with disabilities to live the life they choose by working in a person-centred way, offering support aligned with the values of Community Led Support.
In this role, you will work with adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs, delivering sessions that build skills and support emotional and physical wellbeing. Our sessions take place in one of our hubs and the local community.
Our ethos is to support people to be as independent as they can be in all areas of their life, to be actively involved and included in their local communities, and to reduce or avoid dependence on services. Learning opportunities include Pathways to Employment and supporting people using a small/next steps approach to develop life skills and communicate their wants and needs so they can make informed choices about their lives.
The successful candidate will have high professional standards, be a good team player, and possess knowledge and experience of Positive Behaviour Support. They should have skills to support people in developing communication and decision-making skills, and be able to think creatively to design and deliver sessions that meet individual person-centred outcomes.
This role will initially be based at New Addington Hub and The Cherry Hub; however, like all roles in Active Lives, the location and team may change according to service demand and evolution.
