Hours of work: 36 hours per week (includes weekends and bank holidays)

Responsibilities
- Litter picking parks and open spaces.
- Empty litter bins, large litter cages and dog waste bins.
- Remove graffiti and report vandalism or damage.
- Open, close and clean public toilets.
- Ensure the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.
- Report hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Sweep pathways and collect leaves either mechanically or by hand.
- Drive company vehicles.
- Use smartphone devices for recording completed works.
- Work in a shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Any other duties as may be required.
Qualifications
- A full UK driver’s licence is essential, as driving of 3.5 tonne vehicles and 4x4 pickup trucks is part of the requirements of the role.
- Good communication skills with park users, groups and the public is essential.
- Values, attitude, approach and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure residents receive excellent service are required.
- Knowledge of the borough and experience of working in a cleansing and/or park environment would be an advantage.
