Business Support Officer – Grade 6 (Full Time)
Location: Croydon LIFE Team
Hours: Full Time – 36 hours a week
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dynamic LIFE team as aBusiness Support Officer, providing essential administrative support to services focused on hospital discharges and reablement for vulnerable adults.
This is akey rolewithin the LIFE service, supporting a fast-paced, integrated team that works closely with social care, health professionals, care providers, and hospital staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the LIFE tracking system multiple times daily.
- Manage the LIFE inbox, processing high volumes of emails and coordinating communication across professionals.
- Ensure accuracy of data across all relevant systems, including LAS and NHS platforms.
- Handle high volumes of calls and emails, often under tight deadlines.
- Act as a first point of contact for customers, offering advice and guidance with support from social care staff.
- Provide administrative support across the LIFE service.
- Collaborate with the Health Administrator to update health-related data.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a business support or administrative role.
- Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and database systems like Liquid Logic (LAS).
- Knowledge of NHS systems such as Cerner and EMIS is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
