We are seeking Science Technician in the Building, Engineering and Technical Professions area, which will contribute to facilitating the learners and the health and safety of staff and students The Science department is an exceptional place to work, with staff working collaboratively to ensure the very best outcomes for our students. You will join a close-knit team of educators who are constantly working to provide the best learning opportunities for our students in a stimulating, nurturing but also professional environment.
As a Science Technician you will:
- Support staff and learners with the technical and practical aspects of delivery of all science programmes.
- Be able to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and be committed to quality in all aspects of the learner experience.
- Responsibly approach the Health and Safety in the classroom, from risk assessments to student training to ensuring the environment is tidy, clean and safe.
- Check stock levels and order relevant materials.
Ideally, you will have a level 3 qualification within a relevant subject and good working knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics. The ability to support a range of subjects including the BTEC curriculum would be desirable. You will have a health and safety qualification or be willing to work towards one.
