Job Description

Job Title: Lecturer in Carpentry

School / Area: Green skills, innovations and trades

Salary: Up to £45,357.51 per annum (inc OLW), depending on experience and qualifications

FTE: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum, may include occasional evenings for events

Contract: Permanent Contract

We are seeking to recruit adynamic Lecturer in Carpentry to join our growing Carpentry team. This post will provide efficient and effective teaching to level 1-3 Carpentry students. You will therefore have experience of working in the Carpentry industry as a Carpenter preferably from a Site Carpentry background. Ideally you will have a level 3 qualification or above in Carpentry.


Having practical skills in workshop activities you will provide support to a range of Carpentry students undertaking vocational qualifications in workshop practices. You will be required to instruct, plan, deliver and assess students undertaking practical tasks in a controlled workshop environment. This post is open to both qualified teachers and also industry skilled individuals who are looking to retrain in the rewarding career of teaching.
