About the Role

As Chery Brand Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the brand from day one, lead its launch and shape its long‑term success within Durham and the North East market. This is a commercially driven leadership role, with success measured by your ability to build a high‑performing team, drive sales performance, and establish Chery as a recognised brand in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the launch of a new automotive brand in Durham.
  • Build, lead and develop a high‑performing automotive sales team focused on delivering a consistent, high‑quality customer experience.
  • Establish Chery within the local market, turning awareness into enquiries, test drives and vehicle sales.
  • Set and maintain clear standards for sales performance, process and customer engagement.
  • Take full responsibility for sales results, profitability and lead conversion across the department.
  • Shape the end‑to‑end customer journey from first enquiry through to handover and retention.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to position Chery for long‑term growth within Croxdale Group.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Sales Manager who is comfortable operating in a build environment, where expectations are clear and results matter. You are motivated by achieving outcomes, take ownership of performance and are confident working towards defined commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a sales team within the automotive sector or motor trade sector.
  • Comfortable working with a new or developing brand, with evolving structure and processes.
  • Ability to turn customer interest into action from enquiry through to confirmed sale.
  • Strong commercial focus, with a solid understanding of targets, margins and key performance drivers.
  • Hands‑on leadership style, supporting the team to deliver daily results.
