Job Description
CROWN Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited is seeking a meticulous Raw Material/Spare Parts Storekeeper to manage and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the efficient flow of materials within our manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, store, and issue raw materials, spare parts, and other supplies according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using a computerised inventory management system, including tracking stock levels, locations, and movements.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare and process requisitions for materials and spare parts, ensuring timely replenishment to avoid production delays.
- Organise and maintain the store area for optimal efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
- Identify and report any damaged, defective, or expired materials to the appropriate personnel.
- Liaise with procurement, production, and maintenance departments to ensure material availability and address any supply chain issues.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (if certified).
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using computerised inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is highly desirable.
- A strong commitment to health and safety standards.
