An exciting opportunity has just opened up for a site-based construction foreman/project manager. This role is a perfect opportunity for an existing PM with an established history of 10 years or more. Our Company operates a lean, fast-paced construction operation and the prospective applicant will have to show a good record of accomplishment in managing building sites with particular reference to traditional house-building, Steel Frame construction, permitted development and high-end fit-out.
The successful Candidate will be a key element of the team, able to lead, motivate and effectively communicate with other skilled staff, will show a record of accomplishment of hitting the ground running and a desire to impress and succeed. A good level head under pressure is essential.
Required Skills- MUST have S.M.S.T.S
- You must have a “Can Do” attitude, not afraid of getting stuck into your work and willing to be positive minded adaptable and flexible.
- Efficiently manage and successfully supervise the Project from start to finish.
- Detailed sequencing and programming of works onsite to ensure safe, efficient delivery of the project.
- Providing on site solutions as problems arise.
- Monitor daily work on the project and effectively assign responsibilities to staff and subcontractors.
- Supervise and guide all works and contractors involved in build and fit out of the construction project in the most efficient manner possible.
- Responsible for ensuring that material movement to and from site doesn’t cause damage to the material, workface or the public. Plan and organise site set up to move labour, plant and materials around site.
- Maintain safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing health and safety standards and procedures, and complete safety inspections and site inductions.
- Ensure company safety policies are followed and first aid cover & equipment is present.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Responsible for Opening, Closing and clean-up work site.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
