We also operate a leading global digital and hard copy records management business.

We currently have an opening for a Head of Communications in our global marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Digital and Communications, you will manage a team and be responsible for developing and executing the communications strategy for the Crown Group and its portfolio of brands. This involves overseeing both internal and external communications.
Location: London/Hybrid working arrangements
With a passion for marketing and communications, youâll already be expert in developing content and executing external customer campaigns. Youâll have a great understanding of how to get the most out of each channel and know intuitively how to create impact in the most efficient and effective way. You will also work with internal stakeholders and a dedicated team member for this area, on a range of internal communications to help keep our 3000+ employees updated and engaged.
Youâll be able to lead an array of initiatives, motivate a high performing team of three and drive better communication outcomes for the business. Critically youâll be great at developing relationships, both local and globally, be an excellent written and verbal communicator and able to balance competing priorities across the communication mix.
About Crownâs Marketing Team
Crown operates a âhub and spokeâ marketing model to develop and execute marketing across its business. This is composed of the Brand Hub central teams, who oversee the development of marketing strategies and tactics for Crownâs global brands and the Crown Worldwide Group overall. The Brand Hub team covers Brand strategy, Digital, Communications, Insight and Design and collaborates with Crownâs 5 regional marketing teams to drive localised marketing activation of the global strategy. With the entire function reporting into the Group VP of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the global content strategy for Crownâs global brand portfolio, raising our profile as industry experts to increase brand awareness and fuel new leads and business opportunities.
- Lead and motivate the Communications team (currently 2.5 FTE) ensuring quality standards are maintained, whilst driving collaboration with the wider marketing function and business
- Manage our Internal Communications Manager and lead on strategic planning and delivery through key internal channels, including Board business update events, announcements, Sharepoint and Viva Engage (our internal social platform)
- Oversee and manage Crown Worldwide Groupâs PR efforts, working collaboratively with business leaders and regional marketing managers to enhance and protect the companyâs reputation.
- Have overall responsibility for the management of agency partners to ensure their output is of high quality and delivered on time Develop and maintain Crownâs centralized communications channels, such as social media, and its brand collateral, such as PDFs, infographics and video assets
- Act as a trusted communications advisor for Crownâs Executive Leadership Team, while championing communication excellence across the global marketing team, in line with Crownâs Tone of Voice and communication governance
- Provide direction to field marketing teams to drive a continuous pipeline of high quality, relevant, localised content in support of regional business objectives

Experience
- Minimum 7 years in marketing communications including a leadership role
- Strong experience within B2B and B2C environments
- Internal communications, planning and execution
- Experience of operating in an international company
- Marketing communication platforms, such as CMS (WordPress), Viva Engage and Sprout (our social media tool)
