About Joules Brewery and Crown Wharf
Joules is an independent Shropshire brewery with over 200 years of heritage. We proudly own the sixth-oldest beer trademark in the world, The Red Cross. Our mission is to champion British pub culture through exceptional beer, warm hospitality and a well-crafted food offer.
Crown Wharf is a high-volume site in Stone, offering great beer, great food and great hospitality. With a dedicated boardroom for private events and a purpose-built theatre next door, the opportunity for creative menu planning, pre theatre dining and event catering is endless.
Our General Manager, Emilee, is looking for a talented Head Chef to join the team and lead the kitchen.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Take complete ownership of the food operation at Crown Wharf
- Develop, train and work alongside the kitchen team to deliver an amazing Brewery Tap Menu.
- Champion the use of high-quality ingredients and build strong supplier relationships.
- Implement systems to ensure consistent, high-quality food and professional kitchen standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Control food and labour costs effectively to achieve targets.
- Oversee stock management through portion control, waste reduction and accurate ordering.
- Working closely with the General Manager for events and strategic planning.
Who Were Looking For:
- A passionate, hands-on leader with experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Proven ability to manage time, work under pressure and provide consistently top-quality food
- A real passion for great pub food and outstanding customer service
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent planning and time management abilities.
- Candidate must have a valid Food Hygiene qualification.
