About the Role
At Crown Relocations we specialise in helping individuals and families relocate seamlessly across the globe.
As a part of the team, with a strong focus on care, efficiency, and customer support, you will assist our customers ensure they have a smooth transition into a new home.
As a team leader and driver in the removals industry, you will lead and oversee crews during domestic and international relocations, ensuring safe handling, packing, and transport of items in line with company standards and export regulations.
The role involves allocating tasks, managing workflow, maintaining documentation, and upholding health and safety protocols, while providing professional client support and clear communication throughout the moving process.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise removals crews during household, domestic and international relocation projects.
- Allocate tasks, manage workflow, and ensure all crew members follow instructions, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Oversee the packing and preparation of items for moving and international export, ensuring full compliance with moving and export regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure delicate or high value items (e. g., artwork, antiques, glassware, instruments) are wrapped, cushioned, and protected using appropriate materials and specialist techniques.
- Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods, ensuring efficient use of time, space, and equipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment on-site by enforcing manual handling procedures, PPE use, and health & safety protocols.
- Complete accurate packing inventories, site reports, delivery paperwork, and quality documentation.
- Ensure the use of relevant Crown software systems to assist in process and procedure management.
- Ensure compliance with Crown's operational standards, customer service expectations, and quality assurance processes.
- Provide clear, friendly, and professional communication to clients throughout the moving process.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively.
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality and display tact and discretion.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a potentially rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to set priorities, manage your time and workload and dependably meet strict deadlines.
- Ensure tasks are completed within timelines to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressured environment.
- Confident can-do attitude and a willingness to support stakeholders in effectively doing their job.
- Solution oriented approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Removals industry experience preferred - as will involve carrying, lifting and moving.
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience within the industry.
- Hold a full clean UK Driving licence
- Experience driving a 3.5T (Luton) vehicle
- Self-motivator
- Clear and precise communication skills
