About the Role
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Taunton, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism within a residential and supported living environment. This role involves helping individuals live fulfilling, independent lives while providing person-centred care tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, cooking, and household activities
- Support individuals in accessing the community, education, and social activities
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
- Follow individual care and support plans
- Manage and respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (essential)
- A good understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Right to work in the UK
