About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Taunton, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism within a residential and supported living environment. This role involves helping individuals live fulfilling, independent lives while providing person-centred care tailored to their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, cooking, and household activities
  • Support individuals in accessing the community, education, and social activities
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times
  • Follow individual care and support plans
  • Manage and respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism (essential)
  • A good understanding of person-centred care and positive behaviour support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Right to work in the UK
