We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative on a casual basis to join the team in Edmonton. We are offering an hourly rate of £14.00 per hour.

The Role

We seek a versatile, hands-on Multi-Skilled Technician with experience in woodworking, furniture repair, and general maintenance. The successful candidate will maintain, repair, and enhance office furniture and fixtures, ensuring safety and functionality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair office furniture including desks, chairs, cabinets, and partitions.
  • Perform upholstery tasks, such as recovering seat pads using a staple gun.
  • Assist in the CNC Desking workshop.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on fixtures and fittings.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or furniture repair.
  • Strong knowledge of hand and power tools, woodworking machinery, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of general maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items when needed.
