Buying Assistant
Step into the heart of Buying!
Join our Darwen team and play a key role in the buying function that keeps Crown Decorating Centres moving. Reporting into the Buying Manager, you\’ll work across Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, Pricing and Customer Accounts. From handling categories like Wallpaper, to supporting online ranges and promotional campaigns, you\’ll make a real difference. We\’ll provide you with exposure across the business, allowing you to gain the knowledge and confidence needed to grow with us.
What we\’re looking for
We are looking for someone who brings a sharp commercial eye, strong negotiation skills and the confidence to build relationships at every level. You\’ll spot the next sales driver, secure supplier deals and help us keep our promotions competitive. We know this role is heavily administration-focused, but we see it as the perfect platform to develop into a broader buying career.
Skills that set you apart
- Experience within administration – experience in buying or purchasing is a bonus
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, SAP experience an advantage
- Detail focused with strong analytical skills
- CIPS qualification is a plus – and we will support you in achieving this if you don\’t already have it
