- Materials Associate - 2 nd
- Shift
Material Associate handles, moves, and stores various materials and customer products within a warehouse or production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Equipment Operator Checklist daily.
- Operate a Forklift in a safe manner.
- Receive components in required systems including WMS.
- Assign LPN, work order, or GR tag quantities to work orders in required system accurately.
- Print labels as needed.
- Forward all required paperwork to inventory/purchasing.
- Replenish supplies and materials at workstations and in marked locations.
- Perform Re-Stock process correctly.
- Place skids in properly marked areas on a consistent basis.
- Understand freight bill requirements for outbound shipments per customer and Crown requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Lading properly when required.
- Perform re-deploy process relating to outbound shipments when required.
- Follow dunnage process (inbound and outbound).
- Prepare Bin Tickets for running count on material as depleted.
- Maintain familiarity of warehouse layout (bin locations) including floor assignments for inbound freight and how to locate with scanner.
- Follow customer shortage matrix and shortage process.
- Prepare non-conformances related to material issues found during shipping or receiving process.
- Follow all Crown Packaging safety and health rules and regulations, and wear or use required protective equipment while working.
- Report hazardous conditions to the employer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate excellent attendance on a consistent basis.
- CANNOT BE ON A PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PLAN
- Stand, stoop/bend & reach frequently (floor/waist/shoulder/overhead)
- Possess manual dexterity in handling product
- Ability to use hand-held scanners
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent reading comprehension.
- Able to work overtime as required.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Lift over 50 lbs. with assistance.
- Able to prioritize and organize work and work without constant supervision.
- Perform basic math and use a calculator.
- Able to accurately read a tape measure.
