Overview of the HGV Fleet Technician role with Crown Oil in Pilsworth, Bury. Day shifts, permanent, up to £20/hr + overtime. Modern fleet, trailers & tankers, stable in-house workshop.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out 6-weekly inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
- Working on rigids, trailers, and tankers
- Diagnosing faults and completing preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all vehicles meet DVSA and safety compliance standards
- Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records
- Supporting parts control and workshop stock management
Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Valid HGV Class C+E licence is essential - candidates who are currently completing their C+E test may also be considered, subject to timing.
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
- Trailer experience is essential (artics and tankers)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- High attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Willingness to keep learning and developing
