Crown Gas & Power is an award-winning business energy supplier providing gas and electricity to organisations across the UK. Known for our innovative products, including 100% biogas, and our strong reputation for customer service, we continue to grow and invest in new areas of the business. We are now looking for a Team Leader to manage our Metering Data Team, responsible for overseeing a small operational team that manages electricity metering data, customer onboarding processes, and industry updates. This role would suit someone who has previously led an administration, operations, or customer support team and enjoys improving processes, managing workloads, and supporting team performance. Energy industry experience is not essential — we are looking for someone with strong operational leadership and organisational skills.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will coordinate the day-to-day activity of the Metering Data Team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, processes run efficiently, and service levels are maintained. You will also support the Operations Manager by identifying opportunities to improve workflows and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Metering Data Team to deliver consistent, high-quality operational work
- Plan and prioritise team workloads to meet service targets and deadlines
- Oversee customer onboarding and metering data processes
- Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Act as the escalation point for operational queries or complex issues
- Analyse operational data and provide updates to the management team
- Ensure team processes are followed correctly, and work is completed in line with company and industry requirements
- Support continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Experience leading or supervising an administration, operations, or customer support team
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads across a team
- Confidence in managing performance, providing feedback, and supporting development
- Ability to analyse information and identify improvements to processes
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience working in a process-driven or regulated environment (utilities, telecoms, financial services, logistics, etc.) would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Experience within energy, utilities or another regulated operational environment would be advantageous. However, strong leadership capability and proven process improvement experience are essential.
