ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proactive Digital Marketing Executive who can take ownership of social media activity, create high-quality digital content and support the development of email marketing campaigns. This role combines creativity with commercial thinking. You will be responsible for producing content and campaigns that not only look strong but deliver measurable results including engagement, website traffic and enquiries. Email marketing will be a key focus for the role as Crown Energy continues to develop and expand its email marketing activity.

ABOUT CROWN ENERGY

Crown Energy is a utility connections company helping businesses and developers get connected to essential services, including gas, electricity and water. This role sits within the central digital marketing team at Crown Oil, working as part of a collaborative team of around 10 marketing specialists supporting multiple brands across the group. This is an in-house role, and we are managing the recruitment process directly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Social Media Marketing
    • Plan and deliver social media activity aligned with marketing and business objectives
    • Create and design content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X
    • Manage engagement, including comments, messages and audience interaction
    • Monitor performance, including reach, engagement and click-through rates
    • Identify opportunities to optimise content and improve performance
  • Content Creation and Design
    • Produce digital content including graphics, social posts, blog content and short-form video
    • Design visual content using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
    • Work with internal teams to capture project updates, service highlights and case studies
    • Ensure content aligns with brand tone of voice and messaging
    • Maintain website content using WordPress CMS
  • Email Marketing
    • Build and manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp
    • Create newsletters, promotional campaigns and automated email journeys
    • Support the development of Crown Energy’s email marketing strategy
    • Monitor performance, including open rates, click-through rates and conversions
    • Use insights and data to optimise future campaigns

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in digital marketing, social media marketing or content marketing
  • Strong commercial understanding of social media marketing and audience engagement
  • Experience creating and designing digital content
  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar tools
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently

Desirable Experience

  • Paid social advertising (Meta or LinkedIn)
  • Basic search engine optimisation (SEO) knowledge
  • WordPress or CMS experience
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere or similar)
  • Experience using marketing analytics or reporting tools
