Crown Gas & Power is a commercial energy supplier based in Bury, Manchester, providing gas and electricity solutions to UK businesses. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our commissions team and are looking to recruit a Commissions Analyst.
The Role
This is an entry-level, office-based role, ideal for someone early in their career with strong attention to detail and an interest in working with data and numbers. You will support the accurate creation of monthly commission statements for broker partners, respond to queries, and ensure commission payments are processed correctly and on time. Full training will be provided, with responsibilities increasing as you gain confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain monthly commission statements
- Enter, cleanse, and validate data in Excel
- Reconcile data between internal systems and broker information
- Respond to broker queries (primarily email, occasional phone calls)
- Liaise with billing and finance teams to resolve discrepancies
- Follow established processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Progress to more complex queries and calculations over time
Systems & Tools
- Microsoft Excel (lookups, data checks, maintaining spreadsheets)
- Internal billing and commissions systems (training provided)
- Manual checks and reconciliations where required
About You
Essential
- Experience working in an office environment
- Comfortable working with numbers and data
- Basic Excel skills and willingness to learn formulas and lookups
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written communication skills
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths at a good standard

What Success Looks Like
After around 6 months, you will be independently producing monthly commission statements, confidently handling straightforward broker queries, and demonstrating a strong understanding of the commissions process.
