Crown Oil is a leading independent fuel distributor with a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and quality. We’re now looking for an experienced HGV Fleet Technician to join our in-house workshop team at our Pilsworth site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to keep our HGV fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready — with real ownership of your work and no agency nonsense.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out 6-weekly inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
- Working on rigids, trailers, and tankers
- Diagnosing faults and completing preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all vehicles meet DVSA and safety compliance standards
- Keeping accurate maintenance and repair records
- Supporting parts control and workshop stock management
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Valid HGV Class C+E licence is essential (Candidates currently completing their C+E test may also be considered, subject to timing)
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
- Trailer experience essential (artics and tankers)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- High attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
- Willingness to keep learning and developing
