We’re looking for a solid IT Support Engineer with a couple of years of experience in 1st-line (or early 2nd-line) support who’s ready for the next step. This role suits someone who wants progression, ownership, and trust — not someone looking to coast on a ticket queue. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end, but you will be expected to learn, improve how things work, and see issues through properly.
If you’re the kind of person who notices the same problem happening repeatedly and thinks “let’s fix this properly”, you’ll fit in well here.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is primarily an IT support role, with scope to grow into broader 2nd line and infrastructure work over time. You’ll:
- Handle 1st line tickets end-to-end, keeping users informed and issues properly resolved
- Take on more complex 2nd line issues as your confidence grows
- Troubleshoot Windows laptops/desktops, printers, and day-to-day user issues
- Support Microsoft 365 (users, devices, access)
- Help improve standards through documentation and reducing repeat issues
- Gain exposure to infrastructure areas such as networking, servers, and backups (where appropriate)
The focus is on steady, well-done work, not firefighting.
How We Work
This is an on-site role, working closely with the wider IT team and the business. We value:
- Fixing issues properly
- Maintaining standards
- Taking responsibility
- Not letting problems drift or get passed around
You’ll be trusted to do your job and expected to raise issues and help fix them — not work around them.
About You
You’ll likely have:
- A couple of years’ experience in 1st line support (or early exposure to 2nd line)
- Good working knowledge of Windows devices and Microsoft 365
- A practical, logical approach to troubleshooting
- A genuine interest in learning and progressing
This role will suit you if you are looking for responsibility and career development. It won’t suit you if you want to hide behind the ticket queue.
