As a Battery Service Engineer, you will carry out service and repairs to all battery equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost‑effective manner, maintaining documentation of all work in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures. The role involves working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at client premises, ensuring van stock is monitored and sufficient for day‑to‑day maintenance of the fleet.
- Carry out repair, inspection and quotation of customer battery equipment and accessories.
- Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and purchase requisitions within required timescales.
- Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling (van, laptop, tablet, etc.) and ensure it is in a safe condition for the work undertaken.
- Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
- Diagnose faults to a component level.
To be considered, you should have knowledge of at least two of the following areas and be willing to receive additional training:
- Mechanical engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Hydraulics
- Battery, Charger
