Are you an experienced Sprinkler Design Engineer with a track record of delivering high-quality fire suppression designs? Do you want to work on large scale, exciting projects? Then Crown House Technologies - Enterprise Solutions could be the perfect fit for you. We have recently established a dedicated fire sprinkler division to support the in-house delivery of fire suppression systems across a range of high-profile and complex projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing this capability within the business.
As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you will be responsible for all fire suppression design elements, supporting the delivery of large and complex projects. You will be part of a project delivery team, based either in one of our offices or on-site. Occasional travel across the UK will be required to carry out site surveys, attend meetings, review progress, and mark up drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare sprinkler system designs for a range of applications, including large and small works, in line with LPC Rules, NFPA, and FM standards
- Take full design responsibility throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce technical documentation, installation drawings, and coordinated models
- Complete hydraulic calculations
- Carry out site surveys where required
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project specifications
- Specify appropriate equipment for each project
- Prepare and submit end-of-project documentation (e.g., O & M manuals, as-fitted drawings, certification)
- Attend and contribute to client review meetings
- Coordinate with external subcontractors as part of a multi-disciplinary design team
- Liaise with suppliers and key stakeholders
- Comply with all company and regulatory processes
- Participate in internal and third-party audits
- Consult with subject matter experts where required
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on health and safety
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong working knowledge of BS EN 12845 and LPS 1048 standards
- LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or FHC qualifications are desirable
- Knowledge of FM and NFPA standards would be advantageous
- Proven experience in technical design and the production of drawings and documentation
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Canute FHC design software
- Experience with HydraCAD, Autosprink, or similar design tools is advantageous
