We're delivering the full MEP scope for the Ellison Institute of Technology's Oxford Campus — a landmark life sciences development featuring cutting‑edge research laboratories, a wellness clinic, and collaborative spaces dedicated to solving global health challenges.

We're looking for a Senior MEP Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning process across all MEP systems. In this role, you'll take ownership of strategy and delivery, lead commissioning teams, coordinate specialist contractors, and manage all testing, validation, and handover activities to ensure a fully operational building. What will I be doing?

  • Lead the delivery of the commissioning programme for MEP systems on a major healthcare/life sciences project
  • Develop and implement the Commissioning Execution Plan, including methodology, sequencing, and resourcing input
  • Coordinate commissioning activities across subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
  • Manage all commissioning stages including:
    • Static Completion
    • Pre‑Functional Testing
    • Functional Testing
    • Integrated System Testing
    • Building Performance Testing
  • Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing and site‑based commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with BSRIA, CIBSE, CSA, IET codes of practice, Building Regulations, and BREEAM requirements
  • Monitor commissioning progress and report risks, issues, and programme impacts
  • Ensure commissioning documentation is completed accurately and supports handover requirements
  • Promote safe systems of work and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
  • Support employer training, seasonal commissioning, and post‑practical completion monitoring

What do we look for?

  • Extensive experience delivering commissioning on complex MEP projects
  • Strong understanding of building services design, operation, and commissioning processes
  • CSA Grade 6 or CM2 accreditation (or equivalent proven experience)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, planning, and reporting capability
  • Ability to develop structured commissioning strategies and manage technical delivery output
