Responsibilities
- Execute global capital markets strategy for the UK and Ireland, ensuring market uses all available funding sources to support profitable commercial growth while meeting VFS global policy requirements, including match funding.
- Produce proposed sale analytics and assess financial impacts.
- Drive portfolio management through risk diversification.
- Optimise funding alternatives across syndication, local funding and intercompany funding to improve commercial and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with VFS Global policies, including match funding.
- Strengthen syndication integration to support Volvo Group sales and deliver VFS commercial and financial success.
- Partner with the funding panel to develop alternative funding structures that enhance the VFS UK and Ireland commercial offering.
- Steer local funding and capital structure management under the guidance of the VFS Global Funding team.
- Manage and optimise UK and Ireland cash flow.
- Act as the first point of contact for funders, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations for existing portfolio and new sales.
Qualifications
- Proven capital markets and syndication experience with a track record of negotiating and closing transactions.
- Strong financial statement analysis, risk analysis and proposed sale analytics capability with close attention to detail.
- Self‑starter who collaborates effectively across a multinational matrix environment.
- Proven leadership experience and readiness to manage the local Capital Markets team while leading through influence.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
- Financial services experience with equipment leasing or asset finance exposure preferred.
- Relationship management and commercial mindset able to strengthen the commercial offering through alternative funding structures.
Location
Warwick, UK. Regular travel across the UK and Ireland with stakeholder visits to banking partners and collaboration with the global HQ as required.
