Location: Central London
We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Lettings Manager to join our Central London lettings team. Reporting directly to the Lettings Manager, you will play a key supporting role in managing the lettings team, driving performance, overseeing deal progression and maintaining high compliance standards. You will also act as deputy to the Lettings Manager, stepping in to lead the team and oversee operations in their absence. This is a hands-on role combining team support, deal management, compliance oversight and operational coordination, ensuring the lettings department runs efficiently while delivering excellent service to landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Support & Performance
- Support the Lettings Manager in the day-to-day management of the lettings team
- Drive team performance, ensuring strong conversion rates and consistent achievement of targets
- Assist in training and onboarding negotiators on new instructions, property details and company processes
- Deal Progression & Pipeline Management
- Oversee the deal pipeline from offer through to tenancy completion
- Ensure smooth and efficient progression of deals, proactively resolving issues
- Submit offers and support negotiations between landlords and tenants to secure successful outcomes
- Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure all lettings activities comply with current UK legislation, including Right to Rent, AML checks and deposit protection
- Maintain accurate, complete and compliant deal files, tenancy records and documentation
- Identify, manage and mitigate compliance risks across all transactions
- Operations & Process Management
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the lettings operation and property management team
- Improve internal processes, reporting and team communication
- Monitor tenant satisfaction and service level performance across the lettings operation
- Business Development Support
- Assist the Lettings Manager in winning new instructions
- Support market appraisals and landlord meetings where required
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience within a Central London residential lettings agency
- Experience at Senior Negotiator level or Senior Property Manager above, ideally with exposure to team support or supervision
- Proven experience in deal progression, pipeline management and conversion
- Strong understanding of UK lettings legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, negotiation and client management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, proactive and team-oriented approach
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Weekend availability required.
Salary: £35k, OTE £45k
