The Botcherby Plant is a major supplier of our aluminium beverage can products, manufacturing in the region of 1.4 billion cans and in excess of 6 billion ring pull ends per year, operating 24/7. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FLT driver to join a multinational organisation.
Role Purpose
The Days Warehouse Technician / FLT Operator supports the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the Botcherby site by ensuring timely movement of raw materials, consumables, packaging, and production-support items. The role provides back‑of‑line replenishment for production, handles chemical-based ORMs and IBCs, and manages daily inbound deliveries to maintain stock availability and operational flow. The position also contributes to wider warehouse activities when required, including packaging movements, stores support, and general material handling across the site. The operator performs all tasks in line with Crown safety standards, SOPs, and legal compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and consistent warehouse performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Back‑of‑line replenishment for packaging and production materials, ensuring uninterrupted line operation.
- Handling of ORMs and IBCs including chemical-based materials, following all site safety and compliance requirements.
- Daily delivery management for raw materials, consumables, and stores items, ensuring timely unloading and movement to correct locations.
- Support wider warehouse movements when required to maintain operational flow.
- Provide material movement support across Days production, Goods In, and Finished Goods areas when necessary.
- Cover the bailer function when required, including during periods of absence, holidays, or sickness, to ensure continuity of waste handling and site housekeeping standards.
FLT & Warehouse Tasks
- Conduct safe FLT operations in accordance with RTITB standards and Crown procedures.
- Complete pre‑use checks, defect reporting, and follow safe systems of work at all times.
- Maintain accurate stock flow through correct scanning processes.
- Follow SOPs for unloading, staging, replenishment, and internal movements.
- Maintain housekeeping standards across all warehouse and production-support areas.
Safety, Compliance & Administration
- Adhere to all site safety rules, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, quality standards, and audit requirements.
- Report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly.
- Support training matrix development through cross‑training and competency building across warehouse tasks.
Additional Supply Chain Responsibilities
To support overall operational performance, this role may be required to carry out tasks associated with broader supply chain functions. These may include material flow coordination, stock staging, inventory support, Goods In assistance, Finished Goods movements, and other duties reasonably required to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant site operations. This ensures flexibility across the department and supports the principle that all warehouse and supply chain activities are part of the wider operational responsibility of the role.

- performance related pay scheme (over and above basic salary).
- an attractive contributory pension scheme.
