We have a new vacancy for a HR Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, to be predominantly based in Wortley, but must be available to cover Shipley as and when needed.

Your Mission in CMbE
The role supports the Head of HR in delivering consistent and compliant HR practices, while deputising when required. With responsibility for a broad range of operational HR activities, the position plays an important role in supporting managers, maintaining accurate HR systems, and ensuring policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently across the business. A strong working knowledge of UK employment law is essential, along with experience advising managers on matters such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and recruitment. The successful candidate will be confident managing HR systems and payroll data, producing reports and maintaining accurate employee records.
About You
The role requires a minimum of two years’ experience working within a generalist HR position, with demonstrable exposure to a wide range of employee relations activities. Experience supporting recruitment activity, administering employee benefits, managing sickness absence processes and liaising with occupational health is also required. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and coach managers effectively are key to the role. Candidates must be CIPD qualified to level 5 or hold a bachelor’s degree in HR. The successful candidate will be resilient, professional and approachable, with the confidence to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation. A practical and well‑organised approach, combined with excellent communication skills, will support the delivery of consistent and effective HR advice.
