This role of Security and Infrastructure Manager is expected to advocate for security and operational requirements with all relevant stakeholders, whilst ensuring that IT processes and practices do not impede the needs of the business. Specifically, the role will serve as a technical sounding board for the CIO's interaction with other line-of-business (LOB) constituencies in our organisation. The position involves technical evaluation of new services, vendors, applications, and tools, among other items, as well as translating the risk characteristics of these activities and functions into enterprise risk terms that the CIO can communicate to colleagues in the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop security strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices, tracking developments and changes in the digital business and threat environments to ensure that they are adequately addressed in security strategy plans and architecture artifacts.
  • Develop and maintain processes that enable the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat drivers.
  • Develop and maintain processes and plans to ensure the continuous operation of IT components, eliminating single points of failure wherever possible.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure the business can continue to operate in the event of a disaster.
  • Introduce innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that continually enhance our overall competitive capabilities, enhance employee productivity and maximise system availability.
  • Manage the Infrastructure team responsible for ensuring the continuous operations of all critical elements of IT infrastructure.
  • Establish and monitor effective KPIs and controls for the processes and functions performed by the infrastructure teams.
  • Support periodic reviews by internal audit, compliance teams and other risk-related functions as required.
  • Provide direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into the IT services portfolio to successfully deliver overall IT strategy.
  • Meet governance requirements and comply with SOX and ISO/ITIL framework procedures.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Educated to degree level in an IT related field.
  • Significant experience within a fast paced similar role.
  • Competent in the use of security tools, Microsoft Infrastructure toolset, Excel, SAP.
  • Familiar with governance requirements including SOX and ISO/ITIL framework procedures.
  • Excellent communicator with the expertise in delivering information effectively at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Impeccable time management and organisation.
  • Self motivated.
