Your Mission In CMbE
Success in this role requires strong technical capability, a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, and a confident approach to evaluating quality issues. A deep knowledge of root‐cause problem solving, process control techniques, and key production methods such as machining, fabrication, welding, or casting is essential. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and 14001 fundamentals, SPC, and lean manufacturing practices will support effective decision‐making and improvement activity. The role calls for extensive experience within a complex design‐to‐order environment, along with a background in quality leadership that includes delivering high‐impact initiatives and supporting cultural development. Competence in interpreting engineering drawings, diagnosing manufacturing faults, and producing clear written reports is essential.
About you
The successful candidates will hold a HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with formal quality training such as CQI or IRCA certification considered an advantage. The ideal candidates will be an articulate communicator with a logical and analytical mindset, capable of influencing stakeholders and fostering a positive approach to quality across the organisation. A motivated and results‐driven attitude, combined with a practical and engaging manner, will enable strong collaboration with colleagues at all levels.
