About this opportunity
We are looking for a EHS Co Ordinator to come and join our team
At Crown we recognise the importance of safety and sustainability for both our internal team but also within our communities. We are looking for a proactive and collaborative EHS Co Ordinator to drive our culture to promote best practice in health, safety and environmental standards
Our manufacturing site at Peterborough is still under 2 years old, and therefore given the customer base and the need to establish and drive a strong culture, this role is based fully on site.
Your mission in Crown
Within this role, you will work alongside the EHS Manager to:
- Support the implementation of EHS policies, procedures and practices in line with legislation and company standards
- Enable and support line managers to conduct risk assessments and accident investigations and drive the completion of corrective actions
- In liaison with other departments, ensure audits and inspections are completed to ensure compliance
- Take a lead in managing the environmental permit, and in particular monitor and manage water discharge results
- Regularly review and take necessary actions to improve the site safety scorecard to ensure internal compliance and best practice
- Lead training and learning interventions at all levels to promote, encourage and sponsor a safety first culture on site
About you
You will have previous experience in a similar level role within an engineering or manufacturing 24/7 environment and be used to communicating and influencing a pragmatic approach to EHS. You will have supported your site to reach external accreditations, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and will have or be working towards NEBOSH certification. A natural communicator, you will be able to drive and influence change in a positive and proactive way to quickly drive results.
